In Part 2 Renaat from R&S Records talks about how R&S took a break for 5 or 6 years, how he rediscovered his passion for music, and how he still listens to a lot of new artists. There’s an amazing amount of quality music out there, and the technology has made it easy compared to the analog computers of the seventies.

He gives his view on social media, the future of electronic music. We talk about how an artist can survive , how a record label can fund itself in future, and what the possibilities are of another label like R&S coming along.

People should never give up on their dreams, work as hard as they can 22 hours a day, 7 days a week. He’s had 1 holiday in 25 years. If it’s your dream to make music then just go for it, and keep on trying. It’s important to have good support around you, from your family, a manager , a label. Of course you need a little bit of luck too.
